Janice Trusky earned her terminal degree (MFA), from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2004. She focused her studies on Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Art History. In 1994, Janice received a BFA from Kutztown University. In that same year she traveled to Italy where she studied Renaissance Art History and Plein Air Landscape Painting.
She has solo exhibitions and participates in group and invitational shows both in New York and the surrounding areas in and around Philadelphia. Along with exhibiting, Janice has been a juror for group exhibtions .
Janice lectured at the College Art Association (CAA) Conference in Seattle where she presented professional guidelines for studio classes which use live models. The guidelines were accepted by the CAA’s Professional Practices Committee. Currently she teaches at Penn State University, Montgomery County Community College and has taught at Temple University, Gwynedd Mercy University. Along with doing commissions, she provides private instruction for individuals/small groups. Classes taught include: Painting, Drawing, and Art Histories. Janice Trusky also offers individual and group critiques for advanced students and working artists.
